A World of Wonder

There are so many things I love about my parents house. First of all, they're there! Bonus...it's in the middle of almost nowhere which means it's peacful, quite, serene and full of tractors, animals and fields! And when you're looking through the camera lense, the world, especially this world, things seem to come alive. Here are some of my favorite shots from the great Lo-am-i!

Checkout this amazing sunset I caught over our pine trees.
Thanksgiving 09-13

Down the road from us live three llamas! I visit these guys every time I'm home. How cute are they? The buffalo live on this same farm, but they were in the back pasture this time so I couldn't get any pictures of them due to the lay of the land.
Thanksgiving 09-15

I swear I didn't step inside the fence. But it's okay...we know the owners. And bonus...sunflare!
Thanksgiving 09-17

My favorite barn in the whole wide world! It's been around since the 1800's. And checkout that sunflare!
Thanksgiving 09-18

Munching on a little breakfast. Look at those eyes!
Thanksgiving 09-19

Along with the barn comes this great old farm house! Staley's old place is amazing. It's been recently renovated.
Thanksgiving 09-20

Just down the road is an old plow from the Park/Nichols farm. Love it...a little shadowy.

More Thanksgiving Fun...

We had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Much fun with Josh's family and mine! Here are some of the highlights!

Olivia was my model for the day and she was such a good sport! Thank goodness. I managed to get a few gems!
Thanksgiving 09-2

She was starving and Josh kept getting her snacks. Her response..."Tink You!"
Thanksgiving 09-3

She conked out before we had dinner which was a good thing. Who doesn't want a pre-meal nap?
Thanksgiving 09-5

Thanksgiving 09-8

All credit goes to Josh on this one. He picked up the camera for a bit. I'm saying cheese which is why my mouth looks a little funny.
Thanksgiving 09-10

This was probably my favorite of the day! I love who she just kinda snuck up on me and I snapped! Look at those gorgeous eyes!
Thanksgiving 09-11

This actually might top the one above with how crystal clear her eyes are! She's so much fun!
Thanksgiving 09-12

More to come later this week. Food and more from my parent's house!

Here are a few more from last weekend's adventure in Carlyle. Hold on tight Maddie...I'm working on getting up the doggies tonight!

This is what I'm calling my next Christmas card. Doesn't it just look like that?

Carlyle Lake-28

He was trying to look "svelt" for me like Zoolander! HA!

Carlyle Lake-14

So seriously...I was there...but I didn't write this. But it did remind me of what I do at my parent's house once a year in the backroom to document my birth:-)!

I love the way this looks grainy and gruff. Oh handsome!

The Great Outdoors

This past weekend, Josh and I ventured (and I do mean ventured since we got lost after stuffing ourselves at Texas Roadhouse!) over to Carlyle Lake to enjoy some quality time together in our very own little cabin! Crazy me, but I'm always worried that I'll get bored when I go on vacation. It takes me awhile to settle down...but low and behold, every time I go away with Josh, I am anything but bored. So I've come to the conclusion...that I just don't get bored with Josh around. And that...well...that's just plain bliss! So you'll see a smattering of images over the next few days...the cabin we stayed at, the beautiful nature surrounding us, and the one I love! Enjoy!

Beautiful sunset on the lake.

Who knew?! We planned to go hiking, but then decided that it probably wasn't such a great idea since it was pheasant season!
Carlyle Lake-31

Isn't she beautiful!
Carlyle Lake-29

I am one lucky girl! Look at those dimples!
Carlyle Lake-7

Josh's first experience with the new camera--he did great!
Carlyle Lake-3

There was a random fountain out in a field we walked by. I couldn't resist taking a quick picture and I just love how it turned out!

More to come in just a bit! I have to pace myself!

Old Towne Florissant

Today was too gorgeous to spend inside so I decided to take a ride down to Old Towne Florissant. It's this quaint part of town with the cutest shops and businesses. Old houses and even older businesses. I loved having a chance to play around with the camera and Lightroom after as well. Happy Sunday all!

Old Towne -1

What's a little bit of old towne without a little bit of barber shop?
Old Towne -2

Ye old bar!

Old Towne -4

Gorgeous mums! And playing around with the red spotting.

Something Smells Fishy

Well...not really. I mean they don't smell. But we now have fish! These are the best I could do...they're a bit quick to try to catch. Total of 14 and counting. I'm learning alot and Josh loves it!

Enjoy!

Last Little Bit of Summer

What B-E-A-U-Tiful weather we've had! Although I've winterized my body so 78 is a bit warm when I'm ready for my hoodies! Anyway...I took advantage of the nice weather and took a few pictures.

Morning light! Trying to work on my sun flare!

November Morning-1

The new two are of our hibiscus which is still revolting and longing for the summer sun! It's still producing some gorgeous bloom. Again...working on the sun flare!
